Like many women of her class and time, Angela’s early years were centered around family, marriage, and the social obligations of the Italian bourgeoisie. Her life was initially characterized by secular pursuits, luxury, and the typical concerns of a prosperous urban household.
Despite this outwardly comfortable existence, Angela was deeply touched by faith from a young age, although she had not yet experienced the radical conversion that would later define her life.
Conversion and Spiritual Awakening
